Updating firmware on a yamaha bd s2900
It's odd though that other films from "Summit" play fine.
AT least you Yamaha peeps didn't have to live through the BD30 nit playing True HD or it popping back in January 2008, wow that sucked.
And from what I've read it's just Twilight and the BD30.
So like many issues that the Bd30 has had to deal with I assume this will be rectified.
To date it is still the only movie that doesn't play on the Yamaha. -Fast & Furious -Benjamin Button -Gran Torino -The uninvited -Zake and Miri -Defiance -the haunting in Connecticut -Valkyrie Actually i have 149 Blu-movies and Twilight is the only one.
[V1.40 to V1.41] -The function "Part On/Off" (for the Left, Right 1, Right 2, Right 3 or Mic part) is newly assignable to the foot pedals.I would be interested to hear your opinions of the Yamaha 863 and where it fits in the mix of receivers. I took one quick look at it on Yamaha's website, but the 00 MSRP immediately scared me away!I see that you both have higher quality Yamaha receivers than mine.I have that movie and it's very frustrating that a firmware upgrade still hasn't dealt with that.
Hi Ozzman, the Yamaha like the Denon/Marantz , and many of the high end units, use Panasonic BD30 as a transport in their players. Iam really not upset with this movie not playing just the simply fact that i can play it on the PS3 and the 149 movies i own all play on the Yammy Well sir I don't think it's the PS3 being region free, I just read a post here that now Region Free Blu-rays from other countries are now not being played on PS3's after it's second most recent hardware update.
It says that it selects the format according to the " connected equipment" My Yam 863 says Dolby Digital, but I am not sure if I'm getting regular DD or the advanced DD True sound.
